The Elliot Foundation Governance Information

Each academy has a Local Governing Body (LGB) working to the published Scheme of Delegation. Membership comprises of the Principal Ex-Officio, a Staff governor elected by academy staff and a further seven trust appointed governors. In line with our Articles of Association we ask that the parent body is represented on each LGB.

We recruit to our LGBs based on positive attitudes and behaviours - commitment, curiosity, courage, confidence and concentration - alongside skills and experience. As part of the conversion process there will be a number of discussions with current governors to identify and support those who may be interested in continuing under the trust model and it is always the hope that a number will join the newly constituted LGB.

For further information on any aspect of governance please contact Jem Shuttleworth Director of Governance and Policy - jem.shuttleworth@elliotfoundation.co.uk
